Rolling Stone Cover Contest Winner Unveiled
Back in February FishbowlNY told you about the great idea from Rolling Stone to hold a battle of the bands of sorts, with the winner appearing on the cover of the magazine. After over one million online votes, the winner has now been announced: It’s The Sheepdogs (right), a rock band from Canada that beat out the final 15 bands to win.
Next up for the band is a tour with Kings of Leon and an appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” The Sheepdogs were obviously elated to learn that they had won. Ewan Currie told Rolling Stone the news couldn’t have come at a better time. “Shit was bleak,” he said.
