To all those who got a Sirius XM receiver and subscription from Santa this year, welcome to the freewheeling club. We are big fans of the satellite broadcaster’s breathtaking range of musical and talk programming, listened to both at the office and while on the road.
Premiering on the service tonight at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on Vivid Radio (Channel 102) is yet another intriguing bit of Sirius content. It’s the debut episode of monthly series CEO Roundtable, moderated by Vivid Entertainment founder and co-CEO Steven Hirsch. Tonight’s episode features Evil Angel Productions owner John Stagliano, Penthouse Entertainment managing director Kelly Holland, Free Speech Coalition CEO Diane Duke and free speech attorney Paul Cambria. From the announcement:
“It’s great to have a regular, unfiltered national media platform that will enable the industry to speak for itself, talk about the challenges we face and the strategies we are using to present great entertainment to our fans,” said Hirsch.
“It’s not just one company’s opinion,” he added. “We’ll present a cross-section of differing points of view from panels that often will include competitors, to give in-depth, unrehearsed insight about our industry.”
The adult film industry has grappled with a couple of issues well familiar to any media executive: free digital content and the disappearance of traditional, bricks-and-mortar pathways. Vivid next year will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
