Slate Gets Sexy
Nice. Slate is making a move into Nerve.com territory with an issue devoted entirely to sex today and Thursday. It’s an interesting concept: Slate setting loose their finest eggheads on the subject of human sexuality. There’s a Kim Kardashian-inspired photo history of the female backside in the media, a state of the nation of American sexuality and UC Berkeley historian Thomas Laqueur on the history of s&m. But the best article? Sex columnists and writers. admit what they still don’t understand about sex. New York‘s Em & Lo, Dan Savage and Rabbi Shmuley Boteach are among the interviewed writers. Then on Thursday? A piece on sex and the elderly.
Expect Slate’s site metrics for September to get an end-of-month boost as a result. Awesome.
