Spin Looks Back at Nirvana’s Nevermind

If you haven’t already noticed, we here at FishbowlNY hold everything 90s (aside from Armageddon) in high esteem. So when we found out that the next issue of Spin – available on the Spin Play iPad app July 19 and in print on July 26 - is going to take an in-depth look at Nirvana and their iconic album Nevermind, we started headbanging until we got a headache.

Yes, the headbanging lasted about 37 seconds, but that’s not the point, the point is that this issue of Spin is going to be great. Just check out the cover on the right – featuring a rare photo of Kurt Cobain.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album, the issue includes plenty of items to excite fans of the band and of the grunge era in general. There’s Dave Grohl, Eddie Vedder and others looking back on the album and its impact, there’s a discussion on how Nirvana’s look changed the fashion world forever,  and plenty more.

Like we said, it’s pretty exciting. But please don’t start headbanging; it’s not as fun as you think. Trust us.
