Stubborn Apple Stymies Time Inc. iPad Subs

timeinc07282010.pngAll Things Digital reports that the folks at magazine megapublisher Time Inc. face a bit of a bind. Apple isn’t letting the company sell subscriptions to iPad apps for Sports Illustrated and other publications in its iTunes store, confining Time Inc. to one-off, newsstand-style sales.

Our sister site WebNewser has the story:

Time executives told AllThingsD they “have been going nuts” dealing with Apple, but officially, the publisher would only say, “We are working with a number of partners and potential partners and hope to offer in-app subscriptions sometime later this year.”
