New York’s Vulture Debuts Anticipation Index

If you’re a fan of New York magazine’s Approval Matrix, you’re probably going to love this: Today, Vulture is debuting the Anticipation Index, a collection of whatever is getting the most hype in the world of pop culture during the past 24 hours.

The rankings are accumulated by using technology from a company called Trendrr, which allows the Index to measure Internet chatter each hour, so you can expect the list to constantly be changing. And since it’ all about anticipation, once an event happens, it’s automatically removed from the Index.

The Anticipation Index is now on Vulture’s homepage, and anyone wanting to see the whole list, or sort the categories, can simply click through.

FishbowlNY is 100 percent behind this idea. However, we absolutely refuse to support those of you that have made Avril Lavigne’s upcoming album appear in the top five.
