It’s been a great run for Cyd Wilson at Time Inc. But after 17 years as west coast based director of creative development for the Style and Entertainment Group, the 54-year-old has decided it’s time to continue working her awards season and branding magic for a different boss – herself.
As a testament to how pleased Time Inc. has been with Wilson’s efforts, they will become a client of Cyd Wilson Entertainment Marketing. The CSUN graduate, who began her career far from the glamour of Hollywood working in psychiatric hospital administration, started on her current path when she volunteered for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. That led to the position of development director and her eventual recruitment by then People publisher Ann Moore.
