Hoffman Media is sticking by Paula Deen. The New York Post reports that the Alabama-based company has no plans to stop publishing Cooking with Paula Deen, despite the celebrity chef’s inability to recognize that maybe the “n-word” is offensive.

Eric Hoffman, Hoffman Media’s executive VP and COO told the Post that the Deen we’ve all been seeing isn’t the Deen he knows, and so the show will go on. “To be clear, Hoffman Media does not condone the use of offensive, discriminatory language or behavior,” Hoffman explained. “With that said, we feel that Ms. Deen’s apology for past indiscretions was heartfelt and genuine.”

If Hoffman thought Deen’s rambling “apology” was heartfelt and genuine, Hoffman Media employees must get away with everything. “Uh, sorry boss, wasn’t sure if drinking 17 Bud tall boys while at work was against the rules or not.” “Sounds good Johnny, now back to work you go!”
