In terms of Daily Mail run-on headlines, last night’s missive was sensationally minor:
Still, the insinuation that New York Times health and lifestyles writer Julie Scelfo and her husband had grand plans of indecent exposure, via a second-floor shower stall protruding from the back of their Brooklyn townhouse, quickly reverberated through the media. Not so fast.
The Daily News has just shared the statement released by Scelfo’s husband. As we suspected, the shower is still a work-in-progress:
The owners of the $2.1 million Cobble Hill home told the Daily News the hubbub is much ado about nothing. The shower is still under construction and will feature “privacy coverings” when completed, former Manhattan prosecutor James Cavoli said in a statement.
