CNN’s Kyra Phillips Has Her Own Internet Meme

This is pretty funny. About a year ago, the crew of Kyra Phillips CNN show accidentally played Coolio‘s “Fantastic Voyage” in the backdrop of a segment about a 103-year-old woman who was still able to drive. Only problem: the segment of the song they chose featured an n-bomb or two. And the woman was black. Phillips apologized profusely on air.

Now, a year later, that clip has become the latest in online hip-hop promotion. Artists are plugging their own tracks into the clip instead of Coolio’s. Clips from the artist Lil B and, inexplicably, a group called R.A.P.E.D. have fooled at least two news outlets.
