Lebhar-Friedman Sells Dowden Health Media

Lebhar-Friedman, the trade magazine publisher, has sold Dowden Health Media to the Manhattan-based High Road Capital Partners, a private-equity firm. According to Tony Silber at Folio, the sale resolves all debt gathered by Lebhar-Friedman when GE Capital financed its aquistion of Dowden back in 2005.

The deal leaves Lebhar-Friedman with trade magazines Home Channels News, Chain Store Age, Retailing Today, and Drug Store News. We particularly enjoy the latter for its sassy centerfold spreads.
