Mackenzie Phillips Scores Plum Role

Even though actress Mackenzie Phillips filmed Peach, Plum, Pear prior to the release of her scathing fall 2009 memoir High on Arrival, the indie drama is seeing the light of day as her first post-book acting effort. The film’s director (Alana Morshead) and screenwriter (Samantha Genovese) connected at Los Angeles Film School, while producer Annelise Dekker, a USC grad, has guided music videos for Anya Marina and The Submarines.
