W Promotes, Adds to Features Department

W magazine has announced a few changes to its features department. Armand Limnander and Diane Solway have been promoted, while Maura Egan has joined the magazine.

Limnander is now the Deputy Editor of W; he most recently worked as Fashion News and Features Director. Solway, previously a Senior Editor at W, is now its Arts and Culture Editor.

Egan is now a member of the W team as its new Features Director. Egan comes to the magazine from The Huffington Post, where she worked as the site’s Deputy Editor for lifestyle and entertainment coverage.

Huffington Post Hiring Spree Continues

The Huffington Post is continuing its post-merger hiring spree. Six new staffers were announced today, including poaches from a couple of LA-based publications. Reason’s Radley Balko has been named the site’s criminal justice reporter while Good’s Amanda Millner-Fairbanks has been hired to cover the education beat. Other key hires include the New York TimesMaura Egan and the Miami Herald‘s Jaweed Kaleem.
