Photographer Assaulted By Odd Future Band Member May Press Charges

Amy Harris, the female photographer who says she got smacked in the face by Odd Future band member Vyron Turner, aka “Left Brain,” while shooting an Odd Future concert Sunday is considering pressing charges. Previously she had declined to do so, but then the Los Angeles-based band issued a statement denying the assault, insinuating Harris was a liar. And that didn’t sit too well with the photographer.

Harris has issued the following statement:

I was very disheartened to learn yesterday that Odd Future is denying that one of its members, Vyron Turner (“Left Brain”), engaged in the violent conduct that so many people witnessed and even photographed or videotaped. After he so publicly attacked me, I truly believed that an apology would be immediately forthcoming, which is why I declined to press charges at that time. The unexpected turn of events, including an attack by Odd Future on my credibility and motives for discussing the incident, have caused me to re-evaluate my initial decision.

Music Festival Apologizes for Odd Future’s Assault on Media

The Los Angeles band Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All has been getting some bad press for roughing up photographers during a show at Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans on Sunday. There are reports that female photographer Amy Harris got hit in the face by band member Vyron Turner, aka “Left Brain,” and while some deny the bitch slap took place, the festival organizers are more contrite.

On Monday evening the music festival issued a public apology for the hip hop collective’s behavior at their event:

The VOODOO EXPERIENCE does not in any way condone the behavior of Odd Future towards the approved media assembled in the photo pit during the band’s set yesterday (Sunday, October 30).  Festival organizers would like to apologize to their media guests who experienced and/or witnessed this abusive behavior.

Harris has declined to press charges for the assault.
