Telemundo 47 Searching for New Singing Talent

Call it American Idol meets Broadway’s In the Heights.
Telemundo 47/WNJU is airing a new reality series Rumbo al Exito/Road to Success, a platform to launch Latin artists into the next Latin star.
The 13-week competiton, which debuts on November 6 from midnight to 1 a.m., uses the Idol model for success–following 12 contestants from performance to elimination.
Also like the Idol, judges will offer critiques of the singers. The grand prize winner gets awarded a record deal.
Contestants, between the ages of 18 – 28, were selected from karaoke bars in New York and New Jersey:
- Mariscos Centro-Washington Heights
- Cafe Rubio – New York
- Ibiza Lounge – New York
- Elsa Restaurante – New Jersey
- La Reina Del Chicharron – New Jersey
