Times‘ Rupe Investigation Not Quite Over

We characterized the Times much-anticipated 3,900-word Rupert Murdoch exposé, published today, as “fizzling out,” partly because the promises of a look at Rupe’s China business dealings and an “‘AGGRESSIVE’ EXAMINATION ON MURDOCH, HIS ASIAN WIFE …,” as Drudge all-capped it, fell short. Well, looks like there’s more coming — particularly the China part. Beijing-based correspondent Joseph Kahn tells the Observer‘s intrepid Michael Calderone that he submitted his manuscript to the Times and that he expects that it “should appear shortly.”
