Travel + Leisure Family: RIP

1128tlfamily.jpgIt’s official: American Express publishing is giving Travel + Leisure Family the axe effective immediately. Once the spring 2008 issue hits stands, the mag will be discontinued and the name will instead be applied to a regular section in Travel + Leisure mag.

Travel + Leisure Family will continue as a stand-alone website. As for what’s going to happen to staffers at the publication, AmEx claims that only a “small number” of staffers are affected and they’re “trying to find new posts for the displaced employees.”

The mag saw a 1.6% drop in circulation for the first half of 2007.
