Post-Fey SNL To Cut Four

As we've been hearing for months, changes are brewing at Saturday Night Live as it enters the post-Tina Fey era:

Seth Myers is expected to take Fey's spot as head writer.

In-house auditions for Weekend Update, anchored by Fey and Amy Poehler last season, will be held next week.

The New York Post today reports that four cast members are about to be cut.

Lorne Michaels says he anticipated the job cuts when he hired an "exceptionally large cast" last fall.

"After about four years, there's a staleness that comes over the show," Michaels told the Post. "For me, the most important thing is keeping the show on the air."
