SNL Vet Weighs in on Jimmy Fallon's New Gig
Lorne Michaels, the puppet master behind the scenes, said the transition would happen "probably in the first six months of 2009, possibly in the second six months." TVNewser's Steve Krakauer, who interviewed Saturday Night Live cast member Seth Meyers today for Wednesday's So What Do You Do?, asked Meyers about SNL alum Fallon's chances to succeed in O'Brien's stead. His thoughts after the jump. "I think Jimmy's going to be fantastic. I think it's a great choice. Obviously people know how funny he was on the show, but he was one of the funniest guys in the hallway at SNL that I ever worked with. He's incredibly quick on his feet, which is a skill that is less important at Saturday Night Live and more important for the job he's about to take over. So I think there's a whole set of skills he has that he's never had a chance to exercise." Email This Post |
