Wine Enthusiast Magazine Gets Whole New Look

WineEnthusiastLogoHitting newsstands today, the March issue of Wine Enthusiast magazine boasts a “cover-to-cover” revamp. The publication, founded in 1988, comes out 13 times a year and has a per-issue readership of around 800,000.

The magazine has also rebooted its website From today’s announcement:

Wine Enthusiast readers want the best information on beverages available, but are far from the pompous, pontificating elitists once associated with the topic,” says executive editor Susan Kostrzewa. “They, and we, embrace the idea that wine can be fun. Our expert editors, tasters and writers are renowned in their field, but are still people you’d want sidled up next to you at the bar.”

Kostrzewa, who moved in 2006 from Sonoma, CA to New York to watch over Wine Enthusiast, also personally reviews wines from Greece and Cyprus. As part of this twin-pour, there is a new logo that she describes as “bold, stylish, yet refined.” Not bad for a Winter 2014 vintage.

At press time, the most viewed article on the redesigned website is a summary of the publication’s 14th annual Wine Star Awards gala, held January 27 at the New York Public Library. Read it here.
