Nancy Dorman-Hickson was a national award-winning editor with Time Inc.'s Southern Living and Progressive Farmer magazines. Her writing has received praise from Harper Lee, Pat Conroy, Naomi Judd, Fannie Flagg, Sue Monk Kidd, Anne Rice and more. She has been a newspaper editor; taught college; and worked in public relations.
Dorman-Hickson has written about the literary, education, health, workplace safety, travel, homes, gardening, food, wellness, health and spirituality.
Most recently she co-wrote Amazon bestseller Diplomacy and Diamonds: My Wars from the Ballroom to the Battlefield. The memoir is about Houston, Texas, socialite Joanne King Herring, portrayed by Julia Roberts in Charlie Wilson's War.
Dorman-Hickson is collaborating on a book with communication professor Mark Hickson, her husband. The couple have twins and live outside of Birmingham, Alabama.
