Anjali Singh to Join Simon & Schuster as Senior Editor
Next month former Houghton Mifflin Harcourt editor Anjali Singh will join the Simon & Schuster imprint as a senior editor.
Singh launched her publishing career as a book scout, then joined Vintage Books as an editor in 2002–acquiring titles that included Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi and The Diary of an American Au Pair (Anchor). She joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, working on The Invention of Everything Else by Samantha Hunt and Finding Nouf by Zoe Ferraris. She departed in a series of cuts at the conglomerate publisher.
Simon & Schuster publisher Jonathan Karp wrote in a memo: “At S&S, Anjali will be casting a wide net for all kinds of nonfiction and fiction – literary, graphic, and commercial. With her eye for great writing and her passion for original stories, I am certain she will be a great addition to our imprint.”
