Author Greg Mitchell Hired as Media Blogger at The Nation

mitchell_moyers.jpgFormer Editor & Publisher editor and author Greg Mitchell has joined The Nation, launching a new blog about media and politics in April–Media Fix.

According to the release, Mitchell will be blogging “not 24/7, but often 16/6.” He has already started a Twitter feed for the blog. Mitchell has written nine books, including So Wrong for So Long: How the Press, the Pundits and the President Failed on Iraq, and Why Obama Won.

The Nation editor Katrina vanden Heuvel had this statement: “Greg was a great editor at Editor and Publisher, where he challenged the mainstream media, pundits and the President in the run-up to the war in Iraq … For decades he has kept a keen eye on what’s right, what’s wrong and what’s missing from the media. We’re thrilled to have Greg, and we’re excited to launch Media Fix – our first blog at TheNation.com dedicated to the intersection of politics and media.”
