First Proprietary Book for Borders

Borders announced in a press release today that Nick Santora‘s debut thriller SLIP AND FALL has been chosen as the first book the company will publish as part of a new proprietary program. The book, which revolves around a good man who makes one very bad decision that may end up costing him, and the family he loves, their lives, will be available exclusively in over 1,000 Borders and Waldenbooks stores nationwide.

“Nick is a talented screenwriter and executive producer of the Fox television series ‘Prison Break,’” said Bill Nasshan, Borders Group’s senior vice president of adult trade books. “We discovered Nick as a novelist when we began to partner directly with talent and literary agencies to review manuscripts and screenplays that could be published as books under our new exclusive and proprietary publishing program, an ongoing effort that will differentiate us and give customers access to compelling titles they won’t find elsewhere,” he said. Other titles planned under this initiative include an upcoming John Legend tour book and a 50th anniversary GRAMMY book.
