Google Unveils +1 Button for Search Results

Today Google unveiled a +1 button that allows readers to show their support for a Google search result–an extra boost for online content, from author sites to book pages.
Writers already need to worry about Facebook likes, Twitter retweets, StumbleUpon I like it buttons, Diggs, MySpace links, and way too many other social networking gadgets. Do you have room in your life for one more?
Here’s more: “The +1 button is a shorthand for ‘this is pretty cool’ or ‘you should check this out.’ Click +1 to publicly give something your stamp of approval. Your +1′s can help friends, contacts and others find the best stuff when they search.”
