Joan Walsh Leaves Post as Salon EIC to Write Book

Salon editor-in-chief Joan Walsh will leave her post to write a book. She had lead the site since 2005, appearing frequently as a political commentator on television.

Walsh urged her Twitter followers to retweet this message: “I am not leaving Salon, I’ll be blogging as editor-at-large. Just out of edit management! And book title is ‘Indivisible.’” She will be replaced by executive editor Kerry Lauerman.

Here’s more from the New York Times: “Ms. Walsh will continue to blog for Salon occasionally as she writes her book, which she has titled ‘[Indivisible]‘ and describes as ‘an indictment of the fear-based politics that splits Americans and holds the country back.’”

Correction: A previous version of this post misstated the title of the book.
