Literary Agent Ralph Vicinanza Has Died

photo23.jpgLiterary agent Ralph Vicinanza passed away last Sunday at age 60. A memorial service will take place this Friday.

Vicinanza (pictured, via Suvudu) represented many writers, including Stephen King, Peter Straub, Connie Willis, Robin Hobb, and many others. Vicinaza also has credits as a producer for his work on the television series, FlashForward.

Fantasy novelist Shawn Speakman wrote in a blog entry: “Ralph was easily one of the best agents I sent my book to. He was open, offered great advice, and responded immediately to any questions I had. That level of professionalism is hard to come by. For Ralph, it was his signature.” (Via SF Site)
