Literary Lovebirds Even Gawker Could Love

Sure, we got a good laugh out of yesterday’s Gawker poll on the most annoying literary couples, but tonight you’ve got a chance to see a couple we actually dig, Thomas Hopkins and Emily Barton, together at the same bar in the latest installment of the One Story reading series at the Lower East Side bar Pianos. (And since we also dig One Story, it’s awesomeness all around.)

You might recall that when we began our whole fixation with “hottie literati” last spring, Emily was first on our list. And then of course there was the wedding announcement in the Sunday Times two months ago, wherein we learned that their courtship began when Barton asked him out while he was standing in line at her own book signing.
