Matthew C. Baldacci will join Scholastic’s trade publishing team as vice president of marketing in late April.
In his new role, Baldacci will manage the marketing and brand strategy for all the imprints within the trade publishing division. He reports to the division’s president, Ellie Berger.
Here’s more from the press release: “Baldacci joins Scholastic from St. Martin’s Press where he was VP, Associate Publisher, Marketing and Sales Operations and held various marketing and publishing positions since 1998. He also has served as an adjunct professor at NYU’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies/Masters in Publishing Program since 2009…Prior to his 16-year career at St. Martin’s Press, Baldacci held book marketing/advertising/creative services positions at DK Publishing, Simon & Schuster, and Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing.”
