Max Barry Giving Away Original Machine Man Manuscript

To help get the word out about Max Barry‘s new science fiction novel, Random House/Vintage Books has teamed up with Wired.com for a new kind of book promotion. The publisher is running a contest on the magazine’s website where readers can enter to win the original manuscript for the book Machine Man.

Wired.com has more: “Barry’s fan-friendly gesture is in keeping with Machine Man’s crowdsourced development. Barry posted bits and pieces of the novel on his website for 27 weeks. Incorporating the commenters’ feedback into the narrative as it unfolded, the Australian author then hammered the collective effort into final shape as a 189-page paperback.”

The grand prize winner gets the manuscript with all of its original notes, other winners will get copies of the book along with refrigerator magnets. Follow this link to enter.
