Plastic Logic Strikes AT&T 3G Deal

plasticlogic.jpgWhen the much-anticipated Plastic Logic e-reader launches in 2010, the wireless interface will be powered by AT&T’s 3G network–the same infrastructure supporting the iPhone’s Internet connectivity.

The Plastic Logic Reader will have nearly the same dimensions as an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper, and will be less than a quarter-inch thick. Earlier this week, the company announced a dramatic partnership with Barnes & Noble.

Plastic Logic CEO Richard Archuleta had this statement: “This alliance is a pillar in our strategy to provide mobile business professionals with a device that delivers a great reading experience, and is fully connected through 3G and Wi-Fi to deliver easy access to digital content.”
