Strange But True, America by John Hafnor

Strange But True, America is today’s Featured Book. Written by John Hafnor, this book takes a look at the crazy, but overlooked facts in American history. Enhanced with fun illustrations by Dale Crawford, this book covers American history, ranging from Custer to Capone.
Hafnor also details many unknown facts about Black-American history. For example, did you know of America’s very own Anne Frank? A black woman who escaped slavery and went into hiding for seven years. Afterwards, she became one of the most influential black authors of the 19th century. Who is she? John Hafnor started the “strange history” phenomenon in 1982 with his Black Hills Believables. He has also taught history at National College.
