Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross to Compose ‘Gone Girl’ Score

gone-girl-book-cover-medNine Inch Nails rock star Trent Reznor and musician Atticus Ross will once again join forces to compose the score for the Gone Girl movie. Reznor confirmed the news with an announcement on Twitter.

Gillian Flynn‘s hit novel swept the bestseller lists throughout the summer of 2012. She worked closely with filmmaker David Fincher to change the ending of her book for the movie. The film adaptation comes out on October 03, 2014.

Janis Ian Wins Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album

Musician Janis Ian beat out First Lady Michelle Obama, former President Bill Clinton, political commentator Rachel Maddow and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres for the “Best Spoken Word Album” Grammy award.

Ian narrated her own book for the win.

Audible released the audiobook edition of her nonfiction book, Society’s Child: My Autobiography, in June 2012. The hardcover print version of this book actually came out back in July 2008.

Trent Reznor Releases Six Song Sampler from ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ Soundtrack

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the musical team that created the moody soundtrack for The Social Network, have just released a six-song sampler from their upcoming soundtrack for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Follow this link to download the sampler, containing six atmospheric songs for your writing pleasure–a glimpse of the three hour long final album. The David Fincher-directed adaptation of Stieg Larsson‘s mega-bestseller will hit theaters in mid-December.
