Actress Jena Malone has been cast as Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games film sequel, Catching Fire. As of this writing, more than 27,000 fans have hit “like” for this post. What do you think?

Malone’s character is a former Hunger Games victor who hails from District 7 (Lumber). At the time Catching Fire takes place, she is still in her early 20′s.

Here’s more from the release: “In 2011, Malone starred in Zack Snyder‘s Sucker Punch for Warner Bros. … Previously, Malone starred in Oren Moverman‘s The Messenger, Sean Penn‘s Into the Wild, Anthony Minghella‘s Cold Mountain, Brian Dannelly‘s Saved! and Joe Wright‘s Pride and Prejudice. As a young actress, Malone starred opposite Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon in Stepmom, the cult classic, Donnie Darko and her very first role in the independent film Bastard Out of Carolina which earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance.”
