Tanya Hall Named CEO at Greenleaf Book Group

A number of publishing job promotions and changes were announced this week.

Greenleaf Book Group founder Clint Greenleaf will step down as CEO and serve as chairman. Tanya Hall, the current COO, has been named his successor.

Two members of the Soho Press editorial team have received promotions. Juliet Grames has been named associate publisher and Mark Doten is now senior editor.

Do Social Networks Make Us More Lonely?

Shenkar College of Engineering and Design student Shimi Cohen posted a video called “The Innovation of Loneliness,” illustrating how social networks have changed our social interaction.

The animated work (embedded above) was inspired by Sherry Turkle‘s book, Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other and it serves as a clever book trailer for her work. Here’s more about Turkle’s book:
