Today Rob Weisbach--who has served as publisher of Rob Weisbach Books at William Morrow, editor-at-large at Simon & Schuster, and CEO of Miramax Books--announced the launch of a new literary "cross-training development company."

Last year, the former publisher said he wouldn't become an agent, but he would "be something else." Rob Weisbach Creative Management will represent clients while offering editorial, media-training, marketing and publication consultation to authors with outside representation. As the company grows, Weisbach will add "satellite co-agents" to handle dramatic and foreign rights, publicity, editorial, and online marketing.
