Tiger Mom is Back With Another Controversial Book

triplepackageAmy Chua, author of the book Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mom, has a new book out that is already stirring up controversy.

In The Triple Package: Why Groups Rise and Fall in America, from Bloomsbury Publishing, Chua categorizes a person’s likelihood to succeed based on their cultural background and race. According to the book, being Mormon, Jewish or Chinese can help a person be more successful than other cultural heritages.

It may be taboo to say, but some groups in America do better than others. Mormons have recently risen to astonishing business success. Cubans in Miami climbed from poverty to prosperity in a generation. Nigerians earn doctorates at stunningly high rates.
