The literary Twitter-sphere was buzzing this morning about CBS' web video versions of Twin Peaks. Just like The Prisoner television show, fans can now watch these intricate episodes at home.

While surfing through the Twin Peaks website, GalleyCat wondered when publishers will resurrect the tie-in books that these episodes spawned. Twin Peak fans won't drive bestseller sales, but the CBS episodes prove that fans love exploring the show digitally. The strange crime drama inspired these out-of-print books that are ripe for e-book reproduction: The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer, The Autobiography of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, and Welcome To Twin Peaks.
