Chief Content Wrangler Kat Meyer of Next Chapter Communications joined Galleycat’s Jason Boog and FishBowlNY’s Amanda Ernst to discuss the demise of Kirkus Reviews, and Editor & Publisher. Nielsen shuttered the book and newspaper trades yesterday.
Kirkus for the uninitiated, is the intelligent trade pub that until yesterday, published twice-monthly slabs of unvarnished reviews of upcoming books. Meyer is concerned for the future of Kirkus’s massive archive of content. She moderates the #followreader Twitter discussion about books, and blogs at the Bookish Dilettante.
