In this role, you’ll work with the senior publicist to promote guidebooks, e-books, mobile apps and more. In addition to writing press releases and pitch letters, you’ll also help develop communication strategy and goals for the Fodor’s brand, while monitoring media coverage and launching major editorial projects. Of course, this is just a sampling of what you’ll be involved with.
To be considered, you should have three to five years of experience in travel/tourism PR, as well as established print, web and broadcast media contacts. Top-notch writing, interpersonal and negotiation skills are must-haves, while media training and spokesperson development experience are pluses.
