Johnny Knoxville: Microsoft Spokesperson?

Is Microsoft looking for a “hipper” spokesperson to counter those pesky Apple ads that are hurting their brand? That’s the rumor on the street, at least according to Valleywag’s Jordan Golson.
Golson received the following statement from Waggener Edstrom, Microsoft’s PR firm, when inquiring about the potential deal with Knoxville: “Microsoft is planning a consumer advertising campaign with Crispin Porter & Bogusky. We have no other details to share at this time.”
Just what kind of campaign could they be planning? Needless to say, we’ll be watching this one closely.
