Don't Email That 'Bing-Bong' Website!
David "Pesco" Pescovitz, one of the editors at Boing Boing says don't email him, ever. No really, don't. Pesco took 10 minutes of his time to remind us all of how he prefers to be pitched, and even linked to Boing-Boing's own page on the matter, and supporting link to a Bulldog Reporter article by MS&L's Charlie Kondek. Put down the Cision-pipe and make a note of it. Boing-Boing has serious influence. For a soda-spitting laugh, read the rebuttal to Charlie's post about the "Bing-Bong" website by one 'K'Shawndra Jenkins.' High-larious. Don't get "K'Shawndra'd" next time you feel like flaming a commenter:
"'New' media relations? As in practitioners who are new to the profession? Or new relationships with media figures and outlets? I am confused. What is this Bing-Bong Web site? I went there and wasn't terribly impressed. The Oprah of the online world? Gross, I just laughed so hard that I spit soda all over my screen. Oprah's based in Chicago, the third-largest city in America. The Chicago Tribune reported this weekend that, "fewer than 1 in 10 Chicago-area adults have read or contributed to a blog in the last 30 days, according to a Scarborough Research report.' Bingo-Bongo!" Email This Post |
