PRNewswire Takes Aim At Video Competitors With New Ad

dictrow ad.bmp

We noticed this banner ad running atop PRWeek today, featuring MultiVu Divisional Vice President Adam Dictrow. Why did the ad stand out?

Dictrow was referred to us as a “rain maker” when he was handling and winning many accounts with MultiVu competitor Medialink, which has since been acquired by the Newsmarket and re-branded Synaptic Digital.

The ad is clearly an attempt to speak to Dictrow’s past and current clients, letting them know: “Hey, we have your guy here, come work with us.” PRNewser reported that Dictrow left Medialink for MultiVu in April, although the company formally announced the move today.

MultiVu and Synpatic Digital compete in the PR video services industry, creating and distributing b-roll, satellite media tours and other corporate video. MultiVu is owned by PRNewswire and serves as the company’s “broadcast and multimedia division.”
