ProfNet Asks The Hard Questions

01-hannah-montana-300a101106.jpg

We’ll assume, at liberty, that almost all PR people use, or at least have heard of ProfNet, the service that allows us to annoy (or hopefully help) journalists in a more organized way.

The tried and true service has come through for us many a time, but sometimes it also just makes us laugh:

I’m working on a story about the Hannah Montana phenomenon, exploring just how this teen pop character got so popular. In our market, the upcoming Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus show sold out in record time. What’s also odd here is that Miley Cyrus is performing both as herself and her Hannah Montana character. Will this girl grow up with some sort of identity crisis? I’m looking for advice from pop culture experts.

We can only imagine the number of “creative” pitches offering pop culture experts the author of this post received.
