Roll Call: Publicis, DDA Blueprint, Sharp, and More

Publicis will begin the search for a post-Maurice Lévy leader next summer. Lévy had planned to retire this year, but that plan was scrapped. The announcement was made at this week’s Reuters Global Media Summit. [via Reuters]

Speaking of Publicis, the company has acquired Polish PR agency Ciszewski, which focuses on tech PR, financial communications, consumer, and sports outreach. The firm will now go by the name Ciszewski MSL led by Jerzy Ciszewski, Ciszewski’s founder and president. According to the press release, Ciszewski experienced 59 percent organic growth in 2010 and is expected to see a 41 percent increase this year.

DDA Public Relations and Blueprint Public Relations are partnering for DDA Blueprint, a London venture that will focus on international TV and theater. The standalone firm will be led by Blueprint directors Janet Balmforth and Aimee Norman with Lawrence Atkinson, DDA’s CEO, and John Stannard, DDA COO, as non-executive directors. [via Variety]

Sharp Electronics Company has a new director of PR. Jeffrey Leopold will be responsible for Sharp Electronics Marketing Company of America, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, and the Solar Energy Solutions Group in the U.S. He was previously director of corporate marketing for CUnet.

MWW Group has two promotions to announce. Leslie Linton, who has been with the firm since 2005, is now SVP of the media strategies practice. She’s also in charge of the firm’s media training services. And Lindsey Winkler is now VP of the consumer lifestyle marketing practice. Winkler joined the firm eight years ago and has worked with Sara Lee, Gold’s Gym, and other clients.

Vitrue has named Brian Blond to the newly-created position, chief revenue officer. In this role he’ll lead long-term revenue strategy and international sales out of the company’s San Francisco office, reporting to the company’s founder and CEO Reggie Bradford. Blond has 15 years of sales experience including Moxie Software, Oracle, and BMC Software.

The League of American Orchestras has named Rachelle Schlosser as director of media relations, a new position. She previously led her own entertainment PR firm and has worked as senior publicity director at Sony Music and VP at Rubenstein PR.
