Simon Ruparelia has been appointed head of GolinHarris‘ digital team in Asia Pacific, a newly created position. He was previously Unilever’s global program planner of digital marketing. According to a statement from Jonathan Hughes, president, international, this is the first hire under GH’s new g4 model. Ruparelia will initially be based in Singapore.
David Press has joined kwittken + company as MD of the new Corporate Strategy Group, which will provide corp comms services such as issues and crisis management, IR, and executive coaching. Press was previously with FTI Consulting (formerly Financial Dynamics).
Jose Martinez Salmeron has joined Ogilvy Washington‘s 360 Digital Influence practice as SVP and creative director. He was previously creative director at NYC’s Cell Division.
SKDKnickerbocker, a political and corporate communications firm with offices in NYC and Washington D.C., is opening a new office in Albany, NY. The firm is bringing on Morgan Hook as a VP in the public affairs practice to work in the Albany office. Hook is currently the assistant vice chancellor for the State University of New York.
James Hitchcock has been named EVP of marketing at E! Entertainment, reporting to the president of the company, Suzanne Kolb. He oversees media strategies, promos, brand creative, and other aspects of the company’s marketing efforts. He was previously marketing and branding director for the Discovery Channel.
