Ruder Finn China's Elan Shou

Ruder Finn has acquired Thunder Communications, an event management and brand and marketing consultancy. The firm is based out of Shanghai and has a string of affiliates across the country. Thunder’s clients include Intel, Volvo, Siemens, and both the Italian and Swedish Chambers of Commerce.

In addition, Ruder Finn has promoted Elan Shou to SVP of Ruder Finn China.

Shou worked for Ruder Finn from 2001 to 2008. This promotion comes six months after her return to Ruder Finn China as MD. She will be based in Shanghai reporting to Jean-Michel Dumont, who is temporarily relocating to Singapore to build out business in other Asian markets.

According to the press release announcing the news, Singapore’s economy grew by nearly 15 percent last year. Moreover, Ruder Finn’s business in Asia has grown an average of 45 percent year-over-year for the past 10 years. Among its clients are Emirates, Moet Hennessy Diageo, and Volkswagen.
