The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) has chosen Buffalo Communications for a PR campaign that will promote the organization in non-golf-related media. The program will highlight the players as moms, philanthropists, young stars, and other categories. The organization has announced five new tournaments for 2012.

Clothing retailer Gap Inc. is looking for a PR firm, The Holmes Report says. The search is coming out of the company’s San Francisco headquarters and involves a number of firms, the outlet reports. The company has had a number of marketing and branding issues over the past couple of years, including the infamous logo-gate.

Expect Miracles Foundation, an organization comprised of financial service companies joining in the fight against cancer, has chosen BackBay Communications as its AOR. The firm will promote the group’s Miracle Maker Leadership Council and its breakfast series, taking place in New York, Los Angeles, and Boston over the coming year.

Also from The Holmes Report: Just days after announcing that it had renewed its contract with Ikea, Lippe Taylor announced that it is working with Elizabeth Arden. The firm was chosen after a competitive search.

CAP Index, a crime forecasting data and service provider, has chosen Highlander Consulting as AOR. The firm will target security pros in the retail, finance, insurance, hospitality, and government areas.
