Julie Roehm is joining business software company SAP as SVP of marketing after a five-year hiatus. When we last heard from her, she was locked in a legal battle with her previous employer Walmart. She was SVP of comms there. [via Ad Age]

Bill Colletti has been named EVP and Los Angeles GM at Hill + Knowlton Strategies. Colletti was previously a senior strategist at Public Strategies Inc., a unit of H+K. He was with that firm for 11 years. Interestingly, he’s also served as a senior advisor to the government of Bulgaria.

Solomon McCown has named Ed Cafasso SVP at the firm. Cafasso was most recently SVP and director of corp comms for Sovereign Bank-Santander. In May 2011, it was announced that he had left MSLGroup in Boston where he was MD.

Lisa Allen is joining Waggener Edstrom as SVP of the tech practice and GM of the firm’s San Francisco office. Kingston Technology will be one of her clients and she will work on new business. She was previously at Nelson Bostock Communications working on the firm’s international business.

CBS has promoted two PR executives reports Deadline Hollywood. Phil Gonzales has been promoted to SVP of CBS Entertainment and Lauri Metrose is now SVP at CBS Television Studios. Both will continue to report to Chris Ender, CBS’ SVP communications.

Schwartz Communications has promoted two executives. Dave Close has been promoted to GM of the Waltham, MA office. He was previously an EVP. Merrill Freund has been named GM of the San Francisco office. He was previously an EVP and assistant GM.

Rodale, publisher of publications including Men’s Health, Prevention, Women’s Health, Runner’s World, Bicycling and Running Times, announced a slew of promotions in the company’s PR department today.

Allison Hobson Falkenberry has been promoted to Associate Vice President, Brand Communications, where she will lead the company’s magazine publicity teams. Falkenberry previously served as Executive Director of Men’s Health.

“I am confident that she will lead our talented team of magazine publicists to even greater success in 2010,” said Rodale EVP of Communications Robin Shallow in a statement.

Allison Keane will expand her role to include publicity for both Men’s Health and Women’s Health as part of the move.

Bethridge Toovell has been promoted to Director of Communications at Prevention magazine. Lauren Paul has been promoted to Manager, Communications, and will lead publicity efforts for Prevention‘s branded books, as well as other responsibilities.

Tanja Sullivan has been promoted to Director, Corporate Communications in Rodale’s corporate practice. Ellie Prezant has been promoted to Senior Manager, Marketing Communications.
