Location-Based Marketing Extends Beyond Check-ins

“Location, location, location” have long been known as the three things that matter in property. A keynote speaker at the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International Digital Marketing Strategy conference (HSMAI) on Tuesday also talked about how important it can be for marketing.

In this list, Apple’s top app downloads are ranked and the selections are revealed to be extremely pedestrian: the Facebook app, Skype, Pandora, The Weather Channel, Shazam and Bump among them.  Notice, also, there are big differences between what iPhone and iPad users download: Facebook does not even appear on the iPad list.
